"LINCOLN IN LANDSCAPE: 2.12.2024; Finished on Abe's Birthday"
Here we are in my studio on day one of progress on this new idea of putting Lincoln in landscape, with Lincoln on horseback in a large prairie scene.
I have created the layout in black gesso on the stretched canvas.
Two boxes have arrived to my studio which contain my stretcher bars and camvas. I will assemble the bars and glue them together with clamps. Next I will stretch the canvas over the 40" x 50" bars.
In Process: RBG: Powerhouse
My thumbnail painting hangs on the left. The practice piece measures 12” x 12” and was painted in oil and top coated for UV protection. My final format hangs at the right. This piece is a 30” diameter circle. The circle tells a story. We spend many hours on our devices looking at social postings. This circle reflects us.

The finished piece, RBG: Powerhouse, 30” diameter circle painted in my signature Ribbons of Color style in oil.
