Join us in creating a custom patch using bleach and paint in this exciting workshop led by national-level artist, Cat Clausen. Cat’s remarkable pieces have adorned the walls of prestigious locations, including the White House, the homes of Yoko Ono and Keven Walgreen, as well as numerous government buildings and private collections across the country.

You will then have the opportunity to design your patch using creative elements that convey to others what your personal story encapsulates and what your true passions are. For those who need a little inspiration, patterns are also available from Cat’s extensive collection to help you get started. Using bleach, you can create a crisp white background, and then paint on top of this area your favorite design element that resonates with you. Alternatively, you may choose to bleach out your design and subsequently apply paint to the area to make your patch really pop with color and creativity.

All necessary materials will be provided, including denim, fabric drawing tools, bleach, paints, brushes, patterns, needles, and thread, allowing you to focus on your artistic expression. To cap off this wonderful workshop, a lively fashion show will conclude with flair, showcasing your unique creations.

The workshop is two hours in length and takes place at her lakefront studio just a short drive from historic Galena, IL, or online using the ZOOM platform. Schedule this class to be held at your bridal party or ART & SIP. Cat is willing to travel to you (additional charges will be added for travel).

Simply purchase the class, then Cat will email you to schedule a day and time which works best for you. The cost is reasonably priced at $65. per student . Up to eight students allowed at a time for artist’s studio sessions. ZOOM classes are one-on-one experiences. All sales are final. Students have three months to reschedule classes they cancel. To reschedule your class, you must provide cancelation notice within 24 hours of your class.
