As a very young lad i rcvd my 1st piece of art which was bequeathed by an aged uncle. Whenever we visited his home I became increasingly intrigued by a particular work within the collection. Fortunately, he lovingly took note & his kindness piqued what was to become a life-long passion.
I can only imagine the thrill of the young lady when she realized that both she/dog had been forever memorialized within her painting. What a grand gesture for a budding collector!

Cat— We met at the "Glen" art fair a week ago. I practice law professionally at DLA Piper out of Chicago. I wanted to let you know that your painting now appears prominently displayed in our study in Northfield. It is a tremendous addition to the room and strikes near and dear to my heart. It inspired me to go back to the David Herbert Donald biography. I spent some hours this weekend reading through the sections on the Lincoln-Douglas debates. We are going to frame the sketches we purchased as well, and will add them soon enough to the walls. Hope you are well. Thanks for sending this. I just watched the video. I think this is one of your bests!!! It immediately sucked me in and I could feel his anguish. No doubt communicate with President Lincoln’s spirit, with every stroke of your brush. The doves were so beautiful and important metaphor for our future.
Insane what has been happening lately. I couldn’t believe what I was witnessing unfold on 1/6. However, great vision, forward thinking and building blocks for a peaceful future are often born out of great unrest.

Everyday I admire my magnet of Lincoln's face which you created and I love it. The reason of my email is (I) share our mutual appreciation of Lincoln sculptures and I'm glad you found a great one by Jo Davidson. About two weeks ago I rode my bike past Lincoln's Sculpture (see attached images) near the Chicago Historical Museum. I stopped my bike in the rain and prayed to Lincoln. I asked him to guide our country.. I never looked at Lincoln up close. Abe is quite handsome and his face exhibits great strength and wisdom. I'm proud to be from the Land of Lincoln and I enjoy looking at your interpretation of his image.
